Provided by Mr Jan Anema from Oisterwijk.

This piece is now in my possession to keep.
Mr Anema took this piece at 14 years of age from a Dakota which made an emergency landing near Oisterwijk.
Its a piece of the white star painted on the fuselage of the C47 seen in this picture.

Peter.

Piece of the landing gear of this spitfire which made an emergency landing in Oisterwijk in sept/okt 1944.
At first the Spitfire was reasonably intact but after a few days German Infantry threw a light grenade in the cockpit which destroyed the front section.
The pilot escapes.

Peter.
