Doug,I remember a conversation we once had on this forum about visiting Normandie.
You explained to me your wish to be on the glider that’s being build in your country when it fly’s into Normandie next year as a tribute to your dad.
I’m curious if this wish will become true for you.
If not, do you have any plans to visit Europe next year to be at the 65th anniversary of D-Day?

Peter, Yes I am very interested in returning to Europe for the 65th
anniversity of the Normandy Invasion and Operation Market-Garden.
Dreamflights Inc., a group out in California is building a CG-4A Waco
glider for both anniversities. I would love to be on that glider when it
is towed in from England and land in your country, just as my father
did on September 18, 1944. Of course, there are many who interested
in doing this so I known it's a long shot, but hopefully things will work out.
